Want to keep anything? Your meal plans, pantry, recipes and other kitchen records are stored only on your phone. Before deleting, export a copy from Profile → Data and privacy → Export backup. We can't recover data after deletion.

What is deleted

  • Your MealSpring account: email address, display name, account ID and sign-in details.
  • Server records linked to your account: weekly usage counts, recent request records and saved plan editing state.
  • Your subscription record and your customer record with our subscription provider.
  • When you delete in the app: all MealSpring data on that phone, including meal plans, pantry, grocery lists, recipes, notes, budget and settings.

If you have a subscription

When you delete your account in the app, MealSpring cancels your subscription's renewal first. Any remaining paid time ends with your account and is not refunded automatically. If you delete by email request, please also check that the subscription is cancelled in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

What we can't delete remotely, or may keep

  • Data on your phone after an email request. We can't reach your phone. Open MealSpring and use Profile → Data and privacy → Clear local data, or uninstall the app.
  • Backup files you exported. Delete them from wherever you saved or shared them.
  • Purchase records held by Google Play, which Google keeps under its own policies.
  • Analytics and crash reports, which are not linked to your kitchen content and are deleted automatically under their normal retention period.
  • Limited records the law requires us to keep, only for as long as required.

Delete some data, keep your account

  • Remove individual meals, recipes, pantry items, lists or notes directly in the app.
  • Erase everything on this phone with Profile → Data and privacy → Clear local data.
  • Turn off optional analytics with Share optional feature analytics.
